Crafting a vibrant look for an expressive group of students.

The project we should have priced by the ton.

Crafting a vibrant look for an expressive group of students.

As part of Chroma, CCAD's annual senior thesis show (and the first show that represented work from students across all majors), we developed a bold portrait style to show off the art and design students' vibrant personalities. We built a simple but effective set on-location, using just two strobes with interchangable color gels. With each light totally isolated from the other, we were able to create dozens of unique looks and color combinations, pre-edit for each color, and move through well over 200 portrait sittings efficiently.

The series made a huge splash in the community, uniquely setting the stage for an event which has become an annual draw for alumni and creatives around Columbus. While Chroma goes through an identity refresh for each years' event, I'm proud to have started it off strong.
